The Colorado Trip

Me my mom, Karson and Brinley took a trip over to Colorado Springs Colorado. We went to see my sister in law Rebecca. It is her husband (my brother) who is in Iraq right now. We went over to keep her company for a few days. We did some really fun stuff. We went to a pumkim patch, made cupcakes (which was Karsons favorite part), painted pumpkins, went to the park and played in the back yard. They also had so many fun toys to play with that my kids thought they were in a toy store. It was just so fun for us 3 girls and the kids to hang out. I also got to talk to my brother Randall over in Iraq on Skype. That was really cool. They have 2 kids Kate and Ian. Karson and Kate played so good together. They are 3 years apart so I was suprised at how well they played together. Ian and Brinely kind of did their own thing. In a year they will probably get along great.

Colorado Flight

On our trip to Colorado we got to fly on a plane. It was Karsons and Brinleys first time flying. Karson was so excited. He thought it was the coolest thing ever. He made sure he was on the window seat and looked out the window most of the time. I was also suprised how good Brinley did. I was so nervous about having her on my lap and having to stay there. Luckily the flight was not too long. I think if it was any longer we would have been in trouble. The one thing that drove me crazy was that you can have a child on your lap and not pay for a ticket up until the child is 2. Well this trip was this past weekend and Brinley turns 2 tomorrow. We got the worse looks and little snide comments from the airline workers who thought we were pulling a fast one on them. It was really anoying when people think you are lying. If I would have known I would have brought her birth certificate. I would have liked to prove them wrong. All in all it was a great trip and the kids did great on the plane.

Hawk Walk

Karsons school had a fundraiser called the Hawk walk. Brinley and me went to support Karson. It was really fun to watch all of the kids running and walking together. Karson did such a great job. He really ran his little heart out. There were only about 2 times when he had to stop and take a breather. He was bright red and sweat was just running down his face. What a great little sport. I felt really bad that I put him in a long sleeved shirt and long pants. It was a little chilly in the morning but it was warm by the time he ran.

Peach Days

So it was that time of the year again. I just love going to peach days. Jason isnt too fond of it but I cant blame him. Me and the kids had a blast. It all starts with the parade. I havent been to too many parades but I really think it is funny at all of the things that this parade has in it. I dont know if it is a small town thing or what. Then we went down to the carnaval with Jasons mom and with Jasons niece Haley and her two kids. Her little girl Mason and Karson are pretty good friends and they love playing together so it was fun for the two of them to go on the rides. It was a long day but a great day.

I had to have a picture of Brinley in there because it seems like I never do. It is so hard to get her to look at the camera. We kept her home from the parade and I think it was a good idea.

Last year Karson got his face painted like Spiderman. It was really cool but this year he said that he did not want his face painted. I think he didnt like all of the other kids starring at him. I talked him into getting a tattoo.

Here is Karson at the parade. He is waiving to Ronald Mcdonald. The parade was really long and about 20 min into it Karson was already ready to leave. He stuck it out.

First day of school

This is Karson on his first day of Kintergarten. I cant believe my baby is in a big school. He was so excited. I think I was even more excited. I had a hard time sleeping the night before because I was so nervous. It was fun though, I picked out his outfit and layed it out the night before and got his backpack ready. I felt like I did when I was in school. I thought I was going to cry because everyone tells me how they cry but I didnt. I think I was just too nervous and excited. And I think it helped with Karson being so excited. I think if I had a child that was crying and hanging onto me then it might have been different.

Wheeler Farm

My sister in law Rebecca was here with her two kids for a few weeks. It is her husband that is my brother Randall that is in Iraq. It was so fun to have her here. We went up to Wheeler Farm one day and the kids really had fun. We have been to Thanksgiving point farm but this was much better. It has a lot more animals and you can get really close to them and pet them. They even let you milk a cow. Best of all it was free.

Karson wasnt sure about this cow. He thought he wanted to milk it but when he sat down and they were showing him what to do he said no way.

Cousins Birthday party

This was on Karsons cousins birthday on July 3rd. They had the cake and presents with about 6 of Jacksons friends and then they went to the pool and then after Karson played with their new puppies. They were so cute.

Tennis

Karson expressed an interest in wanting to go and play tennis. I played tennis in High School but I have not played in a long time. So we have been going over to the High School by us and I have been hitting balls to Karson. He isnt all that great but he loves it. Brinley just runs around. We have to make sure we go when there are not a ton of people there so we can have a few courts in between us and others because Brinley would really get in other peoples way. It is a fun little activity to keep the kids busy.

Pool party

This was actually from the first of the summer. This was the first time they got into the water for the summer. Karson and Brinley love playing with their cousins Rylie and Ryder. They only live a couple blocks from my parents house so they get to play together at my parents house quite a bit. Brinley just loves the water. I think this was the very first time she got in water besides the tub. The water was freezing cold and no one would get in besides her. She just hopped in as happy as could be. I had to carry out pitchers full of hot water to get the water a little warmer for the other 3 to get in.

This just so sums up Brinleys attitude. She is so full of it.
